Two staff members in the Michigan State University College of Engineering will be honored for their “extraordinary impact” and “dedicated and creative service” with the presentation of the Spartans Will Award and Gloria Stragier Award during the 2023 Engineering Awards banquet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at the University Club.

The Michigan State University College of Engineering will recognize 17 top faculty and staff members for excellence in service and distinguished contributions during the 33rd Annual Engineering Awards. Two leadership changes have been announced by the Michigan State University College of Engineering as the new academic year gets underway.

The devotion of a sister to her brother’s last wish has established a new engineering scholarship at Michigan State University. The Steven James Church Mechanical Engineering Endowed Fund will benefit those interested in careers in mechanical engineering, said his sister Anne Marie Church, who lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

James Klausner has been named interim executive director of the Fraunhofer USA Center Midwest (CMW) effective February 15, 2022. The appointment is expected to be formalized as Executive Director by the Board of Directors of Fraunhofer USA later this year.
