A message on racial justice
write to you today in sadness as I reflect on the recent events in Minneapolis, MN; Louisville, KY and around the nation. We have a country that is troubled by racism, intolerance and anger. Racism - overt or implicit - sadly, is part of our culture.
Congratulations Graduating Spartan Engineers
Michigan State University will host virtual commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 16, for all undergraduate and graduate students earning degrees at the end of the 2020 spring semester. The virtual event does not replace an in-person ceremony and members of the class of 2020 will be invited to participate in a future in-person commencement.
Alumni Awards 2020
Eight distinguished alumni of the Michigan State University College of Engineering are being recognized with 2020 Alumni Awards for their significant achievements and outstanding contributions. The college also praised a high school educator whose accomplishments reflect positively on MSU and the College of Engineering.
Fighting against coronavirus
The College of Engineering is part of MSU's growing efforts to address the shortage of critical medical supplies in communities due to the novel coronavirus.
New DECS director
A familiar face will lead MSU Engineering's Division of Engineering Computer Services (DECS). Steven Foley is the new DECS director. He replaces long-time director Jackie Carlson, who retired in January.
